My Final Poster

Today is our submission day, above shown my three final poster.

After having tutorial with Mr.Hafiz yesterday, he suggest me to put more information and put in more graphic.

The Sketches

This is the very first story board, using color pallet and splash of different colors

but it didn't shown clearly the amount of people likes.

And I move on to another idea, using colorful candy or marble represent the colors.

It has overlapping information and I couldn't present it clearly.  

This is the shopping malls my classmates goes the most.

Starting I only used some simple boxes to put in information and then figure it out I should change it to something else. Ex. parking tickets, trolley or shopping bags.

I sketch two different layout of charts to show different blood type in my class.

This fish chart, maybe I can use this for my "Color" chart. Since its overlapping & need to do with transparency... which I find it's a bit difficult to do. But also the easiest way to understand. 

Okay, I have tried to do this in Adobe Illustrator, but it it not working because when I put all different colors and put transparency~ every thing changed color, looks totally different.

I will try again. Maybe other category.

Will try to use this for "Blood Type" hehehehehe!!  

HA! This one should be can use for "Color" chart or "Shopping Mall" chart

I find this chart is interesting with the brightness of the smiley face and every faces has level of happy. 

It shows different level of happiness in every country.

Very confuse with all the overlapping charts right now. Will try to work it out as soon as possible.

An info graphic of peoples death or suffer from Diabetes.
Easy understanding pie chart showing amount of peoples dying. And also interesting way telling audiences the amount of death more that populations of the USA & the UK.

Which I find it very easy to understand :)

This is an exercise I did with  Fransisca and Kar Xin during the class.
We replaced the word "Alphabet", "Magnifying glass", "Twenty-six", "Information" and "Audience" with visual. But our classmates couldn't get the correct answer for "Magnifying glass" T_T

Enjoying doing this kind of exercises hope can do well on the info-graphic about myself, which need to submit after mid-term break.

Why? why? WHY??

  On Friday class, Me, Fransisca and Steffi did "why" together in one group. So we written out all the reasons why we spend money. Above image shown our mind map :)

This is our classmates' mind maps. As for the "When" group is interesting one hehe they written "Whey did i get back money?"

Signs

Here are some photos I found in my hardisk, which i took previously on trips.

Above image shown a Chinese word "fa" it means "wealth".
It is one of the mahjong piece, and i took this photo in front of a mahjong shop (gambling).
It very well informed that this is a mahjong shop for gambling. :)

Above images shown a male and female toilet signs, i think it's good, even without the the words "men" & "women" i would know which one i should go. :D

As for this sign, i think it is too many wordings, took me awhile to read and digest.
And i think, they wanted to save money not to make too many signs so put all information in one sign.

Mind Map

This is a mind map i did with Kar Xin during the class, most of us did the Trash Bin & House.

I think doing a mind map using visuals are much more easier to digest/remember
comparing using all text/words. Not only mind map, but all the mass informing articles and etc...

Hello! My name is Kelly.
The very first time created blog, using blogspot.com a bit confusing, not sure how to use it, but very exited want to try it out. This blog actually created to post up my research and etc for "Information Design" subject. And also the second week for my degree programme, i am looking forward to all subjects, but.. but.. they are all theory base!! T_T
